Episode #108: The New Phil Hendrie Show

All things Donald Sterling this morning with Mavis Leonard being not so much concerned with Sterling as she was for the bad play of the Clippers who were “dogging it up and down the floor all game.” She wasn’t impressed with their response which was “pussy” in her opinion. Professor Emory Clayton was in firebrand mode. He wanted a full boycott and a Clipper win Tuesday night. So the Clippers go up 3-2 in front of absolutely no one. Larry Grover thought the entire thing was an invasion of Sterling’s privacy while his mother Gloria intimated that Larry was spanking it to Sterling’s girlfriend… And Bobbie Dooley reviewed the Spring-tacular…

When Phil mentions the problem with his kids, Bill (or Brad) has a full emotional break down including tears, sobs, snot and rage….and then of course hung up… Dave Oliva is doing a paper on Donald Sterling for his criminal justice course at LA Canyon College and claims Sterling uses the alias “Don Spangler” and “moves ice, cameras and sports shirts in and out of North Korea.” Doug Dannger took a look at V. Stiviano, if you’ll pardon the expression…

Episode #111: The New Phil Hendrie Show

Phil starts the show with “a whole lotta belly-aching” about the equipment and the “needs of a professional.” A drug counselor from Toronto tells the panel he can treat Toronto mayor Rob Ford for crack cocaine addiction by putting him in a mud pit in his underwear with a hillbilly and a bow and arrow… Bob Green joins the show to speak on behalf of prisoners on death row…..very sarcastically… Margaret says she’s going to give Phil his “comeuppance” by pointing out that, according to a new study, Neanderthals were equal to humans…Margaret has palpitations and goes into very weird breathing exercises…and then has to recover from “all the shit I’m taking.”

Episode #113: The New Phil Hendrie Show

This morning the “panel” talked about something the General noticed…On TV he saw a veteran of the second World War finally getting his high school diploma. The General said that while we owe so much to those guys, they aren’t exactly rocket scientists…. The anniversary of the rescue of three young women in Cleveland from a psychopathic kidnapper was today. General Shaw and Margaret said it was possible the neighbor that kicked open the door and effected the rescue might have gone over there to kick in the door and tell the women to shut up, that he couldn’t hear the TV for their hollering…. Phil mentioned going to a photo shoot today and the ongoing insomnia…

Episode #115: The New Phil Hendrie Show

The Beverly Hills Hotel is the object of protests this week because the ownership is from the country of Brunei and Brunei is a country rife with human rights abuses. This is “Margaret’s turf” as she likes to say…Bud and Robert think Sharia Law is a “joke law.” General Shaw goes against the panel on this one, having met the Sultan of Brunei, calling him a “good conversationalist. We went to Brunei and whoever the guy was with the bed sheet, the Sultan, showed us around.” Phil talks about economic boycotts and the definition of news. Margaret takes exception to the idea that Phil has a definition of news since she works in the news business, not him and she should have a definition of news…which she unfortunately doesn’t. Dean Wheeler joined the show along with Dr. Paul Cutlet to discuss the climate change urgency. Wheeler was having a heart attack over the whole issue while Dr. Cutlet, riding in his sedan, hit a bridge abutment…

Episode #116: The New Phil Hendrie Show

Bob Green discussed Donald Sterling while his store is featuring a post-Easter Sale called “The Crucifixion Continues.” Bob claims it has nothing to do with Sterling’s on-going problems. It’s about selling left-over Easter candy even though Phil and the panel point out that Easter was about resurrection, not crucifixion. Ted Bell, owner of Ted’s of Beverly Hills steakhouse, told the audience about being at the Beverly Hills Hotel to protest the government of Brunei’s ownership. Ted said Jay Leno led the assembled people in a protest cheer: “1-2-3 Brunei can shove it up their ass!” Jeff Dowdder was at Cratered Park in either Nebraska or Texas riding the roller coaster Doom Hurdle.
