General Gaylen Shaw and Bobbie Dooley both argued for the "skunk rule," a rule that would require college football games to end at the half if one team was beating the other by 30 points or more...(click for the Orange Bowl, West Virginia 70, Clemson 33) For General Shaw it's a matter of good mental health...players that are forced to endure another half of a beating at the hands of a superior team will have mental health issues: bowel problems and sleeplessness not to mention trouble paying back their student loans.
