Ep. 539

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

Phil is still recovering from his flu shot, so we've got another "Best Of" for today's comedic pleasure. The podcast starts with Dean Wheeler, live from the "Eggs, Pork, and You" in Palos Verdes to talk about his alleged killing of Wiff Bailey, the Elcott tracker that attached tracking wires to Emerelda's v*****. Dean claims that Bailey is alive and well and that Elcott-The Next Step is a big joke concocted by Ed Elcott for his private amusement. Then Bobbie Dooley joins us to discuss the upcoming Summertacular, an annual celebration of all things summer. She also discusses her recent celebrity interview with Dr. Drew; naturally, this upsets Margaret, and the two get into a heated exchange. The new online YouTube fad of "Fire Challenge" is discussed with Coach Vernon Dozier saying the only real way to prove yourself is to stand there and burn while reading the Gettysburg Address. Not light yourself on fire and then run and jump into a pool... The Ebola outbreak and the ways it can be transmitted was addressed by Dr. Jim Sadler. He was reluctant to at first though unless he was given his due as a doctor and therefore a member of the only profession that could help the human race with the disease. So he wanted some expressions of gratitude from the crew before he would answer questions... Closing the show was Father James McQuarters, who talked about pre-destination and whether Phil's comfort level on stage means he was "destined" to be there rather than radio. The discussion then got around to the topic of "pa-GAN" worship... Episode 218 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Phil is under the weather, so we've cut together a "Best Of" to tide you over until tomorrow. Dave Oliva kicks off the podcast by talking with the crew about a stalker bothering Sandra Bullock and how LAPD has a priority list of celebrities they "roll pretty quick on whereas some other types of people don't get quite the response time." Then Ted Bell came on and bet Phil $10,000 that there is a real Chief Wahoo and not just a cartoon character mascot for the Cleveland Indians... Closing the show is Bobbie Dooley with her was her husband Steve. They brought on Professor Emory Clayton to get his "stamp of approval" on a hip-hop track Steve is contemplating having to do with erectile dysfunction. Also Bobbie's nephew Justin MacElroy was on the program complaining about another slut his mother, Bobbie's sister Jeannie, is hanging around with. Bobbie's brother-in-law Raff, a dentist with a side business doing unnecessary extractions, also called in. Episode 217 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 535

Friday, September 26, 2014

This morning the show got rolling with comments on podcasting, the death of radio, and whether or not Phil was showing up for the Podfest tonight in "Beaver-ly Hills". "The conditions that exist to day in radio is the wholesale robbery of talent and the full suck-age of the music industry..." Reverend Dave Castorini joined the show to comment on an actual new phenomenon: Christian swingers. Reverend Dave Castorini, who believes in using sex to bring people to the bible, can't abide Christian swingers. "One looks like a mutant from the future, another looks like a woman presenting as a man, another has bee bees on a billiard table for boobs and the other has cans made out of cement..." Episode 216 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 533

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

The panel discussed the one man show tonight with Margaret running down her show numbers. Ted Bell also came on board to talk about his show open. Ted mentioned the "thinly sliced pork roast" at Ted's which had Margaret immediately thinking it was a slam on her love of "light ham." President Obama's speech was debated by Larry Grover for the right and Jack Armstrong for the left. Grover thought Obama's speech was an entre to ISIS holding his head in front of a camera with Larry staring back and the hand that holds his head "also holding a Marlboro. That's some disrespect." Ep. 532

Tuesday, September 23, 2014

Phil's voicing some characters for TripTank over at Comedy Central today, so we've cut up another "Best Of" for the podcast. The show started with Bob Green, who came on the program to again defend Donald Sterling who called his wife Rochelle a "pig" in court during a hearing to determine Sterling's mental competence. Bob said Sterling was driven by Rochelle Sterling's meddling to go underground to look for women and had to settle for "this Stiviano like he was waiting in an alley for it, threw a few dollars its way and then went into a back room with a filthy mattress, held his nose and went ahead and did it." Then Jay Santos of the Citizens Auxiliary Police discussed new TSA rules regarding phone and laptops with dead batteries. Jay also was contending with "L's Palsy," a condition whereby you swallow your L's to the point of strangling. Dr. Ed Elcott closed the show this morning with Sugarman Davies, an Elcott Preserve, as the two men discussed all things "Elcott-The Next Step" including the two basic primal forces, squirrel and Vietnamese pot-bellied pig, the family of Sugarman Davies, his wife Sugarwoman, daughter Sugarbabie, a woman he had an affair with, Sugar Shack and the Elcott "slut" Sugar Baby and finally how Sugarman Davies became a spreadable, apricot preserve, the highest level of Elcott priesthood.
