Show Log For Wednesday February 20, 2013

                                            Shit doughnuts

It was Ron from Denver, the owner of a doughnut shop, who took exception to Phil's position that Dunkin Donuts and other doughnut shops have no call to criticize Obamacare and the insurance they have to buy their employees when they're contribution to the "fat ass factor in America" is significant..

Dr. Jim Sadler joined the show as he was buying something called a "buttercake" for his wifes party. Margaret then informed him that he was buying a pastry that denotes "effeminate" behavior in France and that between him buying those and his pronounced speech impediment he's bound to be marked by stupid homophobes...

Other weird shit as well......

The above rambles a bit. Weekends and my schedule you understand. Try not to kill me on grammar, sentence structure and dis-appointment fueled complaining. Waiting for the show to kick on. I sometimes can make it a whole 10 minutes before I fall asleep. I miss the show mostly, but I love the musical prelude and your eclectic mixes.

Duncan Donuts don't make you fat, less you let them. A tasty treat from time to time. A character claiming it's a lucrative business, hiding his multi weight drop methods on his wife outrank giving his staff healthcare. Real life doesn't come close to your pretend character. I've know an owner of a McDonalds store. Kids went to school with mine, they live in the same neighborhood AND I'm a night printer at a print shop. Don't lead a conservatives of Kern county or nothing but I've listened to Rush and Rhodes before. Times is tough all over, just adding another 5-10 grand to the cost of running a business by mandate from a guy that's never had to make payroll is one of the reasons business is revolting against the President.
Not being able to see that makes you a little blind sided. Have to check out my personal experience to enjoy the bit, it's possible and I'm sure it does happen. But Duncan doughnuts isn't a non profit nor could they be and giving away the rest of the margin so that the hard work, HARD WORK, not just making funny voices on the radio and going off like a Diva (one I love) will only help shut down small businesses in America. Every DD's is a singular small business, just like yours. Maybe we've been paying you too much if you can so freely demand others give up their livelihood.

I don't believe that for a second. I believe you just hadn't thought it farther then a funny bit.

@Kaufman: Do you like how your president is constantly "railing against" the Republicans, like blaming them for HIS sequester? Look it up: in 2011, Ostalin, in all his Marxist glory said that he would NOT sign a bill that didn't cut spending (speaking of this one he's peddling which calls for even MORE taxes and NO cuts), so he rolled the "sequester" into one of the spending bills. Now he's acting as if he had nothing to do with it, or the out of control spending he's been doing since the "stimulus." You see, the 'Rat Senate hasn't passed a budget since 04/2009, so they can keep the "stimulus" as part of the baseline budget. Perhaps you should listen more to Rush than you do Bill Maher.

McDonalds, Subway, it's never about the quality of the food. I love krispy kreme, but looks what has happened to them. People are not having babies anymore. Our society is getting older. Our insurance situation will continue to worsen.

Let's just come out and say it. Phil is a creative genius and superb performance artist, all rolled into one. And the way he puts up with his difficult crew makes him deserving of a humanitarian award.

    Hi Phil,
Thanks for mentioning during the pre show the other night, that Rush Limbaugh was a good broadcaster. After the initial shock, I realized you were absolutely right. I don't agree with his politics, and I hate the way he rails against the dems, but that is the purpose of his job. Maybe it's WWE Wrestling on the radio.
    Thanks for the insight.

Joe Garagiola just announced he's been signed to a three-year deal with TRN. Details to follow, according to the ex-major leaguer.
